Links on a page: what matters for SEO
Internal linking
Internal links distribute weight between pages and help crawlers find content. Pages without incoming internal links (“orphans”) are indexed poorly or not at all.
The tool counts internal and external links, shows anchor text and nofollow attributes, and finds broken links that return an error.
External links
Linking to authoritative sources is normal and even useful for the credibility of your content. Use nofollow/sponsored only for advertising and affiliate links.
Periodically check outbound links: sites shut down and change their topic, and a link placed a year ago may lead to an undesirable resource.
