What a store’s price depends on
An online store is the most “elastic” type of site by price: the range runs from 300 thousand to several million. The reason is that a store is not pages but a system: catalog, cart, payment, delivery, stock, CRM. Each block can be done simply or deeply — hence the spread. Let’s break down what affects what.
Three price segments
A simple store — ₽300–600k
Up to 500–1000 products, manual catalog management, online payment, basic delivery (CDEK, Post), order notifications. Suits a start and testing a niche. The limitation: stock and prices are updated by hand.
A store with integrations — ₽600k–1.5M
The workhorse of mid-sized business: synchronization with 1C (products, prices, stock, orders), several delivery services with cost calculation, a customer account, promo codes and a loyalty program, exports to marketplaces and Yandex Market.
A large store / B2B — from ₽1.5M
Tens of thousands of SKUs, search with filters by attributes, individual prices for wholesalers, integrations with several warehouses and suppliers, high loads. This also includes B2B portals with contract-based price lists.
What quietly eats the budget
- Catalog content. 1000 products means 1000 cards with photos, descriptions and specs. Who will fill them in? Budget for either a content manager or an automatic feed from suppliers.
- 1C integration — almost always harder than it seems: a non-standard configuration, tweaks on the 1C side, stock exchange across warehouses.
- Delivery. Each service is a separate integration with rate calculation and pickup points.
- Quality product cards — photos, zoom, reviews, “bought with this”. The card is exactly what sells; cutting corners on it is foolish.
Where you must not save
- Speed. A slow catalog loses buyers and positions — speed optimization must be built into development, not left for “later”.
- The mobile version — 70–80% of buyers come from a phone.
- Hosting. A store needs a decent VPS, not shared hosting for ₽200.
- Backups. Losing the order database means losing the business.
A store or marketplaces
A frequent question: why a store if there’s Wildberries? The short answer: a marketplace takes 35–50% and the customer, your own store keeps the margin and the database for you. We covered the detailed economics with calculations in the article marketplaces or your own store — strong sellers do both.
Monthly costs after launch
- hosting — ₽1–10k;
- support and tweaks — ₽20–50k;
- promotion — store SEO and/or ads, from ₽50k;
- acquiring — 1–2.5% of turnover.
A store without a budget for traffic doesn’t sell — accept this before launch, not after.
